2022 National College FreeRice Tournament

It’s time again for March Madness and FreeRice championship for colleges and universities!

The first round of the FreeRice tournament begins March 5th!

Every correct answer playing the FreeRice trivia game raises a donation for the UN World Food Program

For your school to join the tournament please email William Lambers by Feb. 28th

The tournament bracket will be revealed after all teams are entered by Feb. 28th. The seeding will be based on team’s global rank by Feb. 28th. So definitely rack up a lot of grains before then it will help your tournament seeding and maybe earn a first round bye!

To create a team simply go to the group section on the FreeRice site/app and click on create new group. Email William Lambers your unique team code.

The 2021 National Tournament was won by University of Illinois!

Cincinnati Enquirer article on 2021 National FreeRice championship (at that time there was only one grain donated per correct answer. For this tournament it will be 10 grains per correct answer!
